Jogging and Nordic walking routes near Bad Neuenahr

Short bridges tour – 4 km

• Leave the hotel and head left alongside the river
• pass the dahlia gardens and the 2nd bridge
• head through the underpass at the 3rd bridge („Pius-Brücke“), then follow the path through a gate
• continue past Youth Hostel and turn right at St.-Pius-Straße
• cross the next bridge („Bachemer-Brücke“) and head back on the other bank of the river (ca. 2 km) pass by Kaiser-Auguste-Viktoria-Park
• cross the 4th bridge („Maria-Hilf-Brücke“), then turn immediately right
• after 100 m you will have returned to your starting point outside the hotel

Ahr Tour round the spa centre – 6 km

• Leave the hotel and head left alongside the river
• cross the river at the 3rd bridge („Pius-Brücke“) and head back to the right on the other bank of the river (straight ahead for ca. 3 km)
• at Martin Luther church, continue past 2 bridges and the stadium
• cross the river using the next bridge („Schwanenteichbrücke“)
• turn right at the other side and head past the archery club
• continue along the river bank as far as the casino, and cross the Casino Bridge to the right.
• turn left at the other side and head along the river bank
• continue past Martin Luther church, and cross the next bridge („Maria-Hilf-Brücke“)
• turn right
• after 100 m you will have returned to your starting point outside the hotel

Extended Ahr tour from Bad Neuenahr – 8 km

• Leave the hotel and head left alongside the river
• cross the river at the 3rd bridge („Pius-Brücke“) and head back to the right
• on the other bank of the river (straight ahead for ca. 3 km)
• at Martin-Luther church, continue past 3 bridges und the stadium, and underneath the next bridge.
• cross over the following bridge („Martiniusstraße“) to the other side of the river
• turn right there, and continue straight on for 100 m and under a further bridge
• take the next tarred road to the right
• pass under the bridge again
• after 200 m, continue past the cross, then turn right into Idienstraße
• ca. 700 m rise through „Am Idenbachtal“ and „Am Johannisberg“
• turn right into the small road beyond the „Carpe-Diem“-School
• continue past the roundabout, then left after 100 m into „Am Schwanenteich“
• continue along the riverbank to the casino, and cross the Casino Bridge to the right.
• turn left at the other side and keep going past Martin-Luther church
• cross the next bridge („Maria-Hilf-Brücke“) and turn right
• after 100 m you will arrive at the hotel
